William H. Bagby, 88, of Mineola, TX. passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in Katy, TX. He was born on Friday, July 8, 1927 in Sulphur Springs, TX to the late W.E. Bagby and Emelyn Miller Bagby.
Bill graduated from Texas Christian University; he then went to work for General Electric, retiring after thirty five years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mineola, TX. for 22 years. He was also a member of Kiwanis Club. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter his entire life, a man who dearly loved and cherished his family, friends and the Lord. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of twenty eight years, Norma Lou Bagby. He is survived by three sons, Bruce Bagby of Houston, TX, Gomer Wilson of McKinney, TX, Glenn Wilson and wife Katherine of Franklin, TN; two daughters, Laura Morille of Katy, TX, Elaine Shaver of San Antonio, TX; sister, Billie Jean Hooten of Sulphur Springs, TX; seven grandchildren, Jordan William Morille, Lindsey Claire Morille, Jason Scott Shaver, Samantha Baker Pearson, Garrett Russell Wilson, Jessica Banks Wilson, Gomer R. Wilson IV; one great grandchild, Josephine Clementine Morille.
Memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Mineola, TX. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please make donations in his honor to First United Methodist Church of Mineola, TX.
