Mr. William "Burnard" Kear, age 81 of Winnsboro, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. He was born on October 10, 1941 in Scroggins, Texas to the late Otha Burnard Kear and Annie Mae Hoffman Kear.
Burnard attended Pine Street Baptist Church and was a retired Machinist having worked over 37 years for Rockwell International. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and tending his cattle. One of his favorite things was selling his vegetables from his large garden at the Winnsboro Farmers Market.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Kear and James Kear; sister, Anna Ambroson and great grandson, Stephen Nicholson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Deborah Kear of Winnsboro; son, Kevin Kear and wife, Sandi of Paris, Texas; daughters, Michelle Kreuzer of Aubrey, Texas and Megan Watson and husband, Rustin of New Boston, Texas; sister, Linda Watkins of Tyler; nine grandchildren, Lindsey Temporal, Emily Sullivan, Alyssa McDaniel, Nicholas Kear, Jacob Kear, Carson Kreuzer, Caroline Kreuzer, Lilly Watson, and Brooks Watson ; six great grandchildren, Romer, Edison, Remington, River, Emory, and Addison.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Beaty Funeral Home Winnsboro with Rev. Mike Jeter conducting. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Russell Acker, Dwayne Carson, Mickey Tinney, Dave Saucier, Donny Knight, Jacob Kear serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donatins can be made to the American Heart Association of the National Cancer Society.
