William Michael Tucker was born in Golden Texas October 28, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Vivian Tucker, and two Brothers, Jerry and Ronnie Tucker. Michael passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. Michael was a loving husband to his wife, Cheryl and loving Father of two children who loved him beyond words, Molly and Miles Tucker.

He is survived by them as well as his sister, Joanne Kratzmeyer, and his brother-in-law Dickie Melvin. His Daughter in law Sarah and Son-in-law Jeremy Chester. Michael and Cheryl had five Grand Children, Tucker George, his wife Rachel and their two children. Abbigail Tucker and her three children. Maggie Salazar, her husband Adrian and their two children. Samuel Threadgill Jr. and his two children and Zachary Tucker and Chayton Shelton, as well as numerous Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and all kinds of family that lovingly called him Uncle Michael.

Michael graduated from Alba-Golden High School, and hated it when anyone referred to the school as Alba... After graduation he attended East Texas State University where he earned a master's degree in history and got his teaching certification which became his passion and calling from God. Shortly after graduating and beginning his teaching career he was drafted into service with the Army and sent to Vietnam. Michael served his country with proud distinction and honor from 1967 to 1969 when he returned home to Cheryl and started a family. Michael continued his teaching career finally retiring due to medical problems directly caused by his service in Vietnam.

During Michaels teaching career he impacted thousands of lives earning the love and respect of all he taught and worked alongside and was tagged with the loving name of Mr. T.... Michael had nicknames for all he taught and there was not a day that went by that he did not see numerous past students that would holler out from a distance calling Mr. T for all to hear.

The family would like to invite everyone to funeral services at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola Texas on Monday the 17 th , of August. Viewing will start at 10 a.m with the service beginning at 11. Burial will be at the Golden cemetery.

Michael will be remembered by so many as the most loving, gentle and kind soul they had ever had the pleasure of knowing. He will be missed by his family and his loving wife Cheryl who after Vietnam never left his side.
