Winfred Wayne Going

Winfred Wayne Going was the patriarch and chief of the Going tribe. He was the best father in the world. Winfred was preceded in death by his parents Isom and Elizabeth Going, Brothers Allen and Larry Going, Sister Loretta Going. Winfred is survived by his Wife Sharon of Mineola, Daughter Shana Burge and husband William of Mineola, Son Edward Smith of Mineola, Daughters Randi Going of Mineola and Jessica King and husband Josh of Mineola. Winfred's grandchildren Cody and Dustin Burge, Mackenzie Smith, Allie, Adalia, Kias Going, Araya and Kemryn Hawkins, Riley Castle, Camden and Brody King. Aunt Mary Ann of Dereks, AK, Sisters Dusty Bohannon husband Jerry of Smithville, OK, Karen Going Watson, OK, Edna Rowan husband Randy of Watson, OK, Carol Going of Watson, OK, Brothers Isom Going Jr., Watson, OK, Dennis Porter wife Shelly of Watson, OK, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Winfred was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church for over 35+ years as well as a timber harvester for 40+ years. Winfred was a full blooded Choctaw Indian and served on the Board of Directors for the Indian Baptist Mission Camp with his extended family, The Harjos, working in the mission field bringing Indians closer to God for many years. Winfred spent his retirement pursuing his enjoyment of hunting with his dogs, spending time with his grandchildren, church, family and friends. He will be missed incredibly but never forgotten. The family would like to say Thank You for all the calls, prayers, kind thoughts, words and love sent. As well as a special thank you to Scotty Lyles and family, Jerry Jackson Jr. and family. Bright Star Baptist Church and Sand Springs Baptist Church for all you have done for our family we Love you and Thank You. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 at Sand Springs Baptist Church 3208 CR 2330 Mineola, Texas 75773 at 1:00 pm, Bro. Jim Parker conducting, interment will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Lindale.
