Xerlene Lou Alexander, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on May 3, 1939, in Winnsboro, Texas, Xerlene was the daughter of X.J. Banks and Pearl Shivley Banks.
Xerlene dedicated much of her life to her career as the owner of Alexander Tractor, where her hard work and entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting impact on the community. She was a proud member of Pine Street Baptist Church, where her faith guided her through life.
Above all, Xerlene cherished time spent with her family and friends. She loved hosting tea parties with her granddaughters and found joy in shopping at Dillard's. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Ricky Alexander and his wife Kathy, and Kenny Alexander and his wife Gayna; her daughter, Tammy Henry and her husband John; her grandchildren, Wesley Alexander, Candice Henry, Kattie Steele, Alex Henry, Riley Alexander, and Frankie Alexander; and her great-grandchildren, Ady Hughes, Shiplee Hughes, and Brie Steele.
Xerlene was preceded in death by her brother, Duke Banks, her sister, Peggy Vickers, and her husband, Frank Alexander.
Xerlene Lou Alexander leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience that will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
